Grand Cayman is like a second home for me. Think I was there close to 12 times in 12 months, I have to truthfully confess that my visits to several beaches on Turks & Caicos was best beach experience I had so far in the Caribbean. My birth land Jamaica do not come close to that experience! I love the safety experiences I have on both Islands. I love the fact that the beaches are open to everyone. Cayman sunset is amazing.

We don't have a great baseline to compare. People say that West Bay is affected, but without the baseline, we don't really how bad. There are some reports that the beach in front of Marriott disappeared. We don't know how true that is.

Depends. So many great hotel options that fit every budget. Hotel prices vary based on when you are traveling. There are some hotel options included in the links that are currently 20 to 35%. My advice is to check it out and see what fits your budget. Supermarkets are quite expensive on both islands compared to US. If you are going for multiple months then pack quite a few non perishable items to bring with you. Upscale restaurant prices are similar to the US, local eats are less than $20. Keep in mind that the Cayman Dollar is stronger than the US.

Of the "Big 3," Seafire is the most romantic. The Ritz IMO overall the best and highest luxury but Seafire is really pretty for couples. The Westin is the laid back one.
